Despite facing challenges such as violence and government neglect, the miners are working to improve their practices by using solar panels and gravimetric tables to reduce environmental impact. The possibility of producing ecological gold without mercury is discussed, with the need for support to implement this technology and make it economically sustainable emphasized. The lack of documentation and state presence in the mining industry is also highlighted as a challenge, with hope expressed for eventual support from the Peruvian state.
