Highlights from the LFA Open House & Meet the Uakaris

The LFA fellowship program offers individuals the opportunity to work on climate solutions while balancing other commitments, with the upcoming cohort named after the endangered Uakaris. The program's curriculum, designed by experts, provides a structured and rigorous approach to climate education, leading participants to report increased focus in their academic pursuits. Live lab group sessions aim to prevent isolation and low completion rates, with mandatory workshops using tools like the En-ROADS simulation tool and peer-to-peer learning. The curriculum for learners in climate action emphasizes moving from individual skill building to systemic thinking, focusing on human systems, policy levers, economics, and systems thinking to understand the systemic changes needed for solutions at a larger scale.
