DTEK Group, Ukraine’s largest private energy firm, is advancing energy security through the construction of a 650MW wind farm in the Poltava region. This initiative responds to the urgent need for infrastructure modernization following the destruction of two-thirds of Ukraine’s power supply due to the Russian invasion. Supported by a grant from the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation, the project aims not only to decentralize the energy system but also to restore capacity and scale renewable generation. DTEK’s strategy includes plans for further expansions that will enhance energy resilience and align with EU integration standards.

In the Netherlands, the Enterprise Agency (RVO) identifies the potential for building façades to contribute up to 36 GW of solar PV capacity, contingent on addressing high costs and regulatory challenges. To foster this growth, enhanced transparency, simplified permitting, and effective communication of financial incentives are advocated.
