Solar Team Eindhoven has developed the world's first solar-powered ambulance, Stella Juva, equipped with 542 solar cells and a 50 kWh battery, allowing it to drive up to 715 km on a sunny day without needing to be charged. The vehicle aims to bring healthcare services to remote communities, powering medical equipment and providing essential care. The team plans to test the ambulance in Kenya to showcase its capabilities and inspire others to create social impact through technology in healthcare. This innovative solution highlights the potential for renewable energy to revolutionize emergency medical services and improve access to healthcare in underserved areas.
