Brazil has expanded its sustainable farming support program, the Brazilian Low-Carbon Agriculture (ABC) Plan, to include four new carbon removal technologies, potentially increasing removals by 500 million tonnes in the next decade. Additionally, Bolivia is working on a climate investment framework to provide investor certainty, including carbon removals, through the Framework Law for Climate and Biodiversity Finance, which is in the final stages of legislative approval. This initiative is seen as a turning point for the country in addressing climate change.
