The Ellen MacArthur Foundation is collaborating with the UAE on developing a national textiles circularity policy framework as part of the Naseej initiative to create a circular economy for fashion and textiles. The goal is to move the sector towards a model that preserves resources, captures economic value, and aligns with long-term national development. The Foundation will provide expertise and insights on circular economy solutions in the fashion and textiles industry in the UAE and beyond. The UAE's position as a global textile hub presents an opportunity to implement successful circular economy policies that can serve as a model for other countries in the Gulf and the wider Global South.
