New online library on urban heat

The Zurich Climate Resilience Alliance has launched an updated Urban Heat Library mini-site, offering a collaborative platform for sharing knowledge and best practices on urban heat. Coordinated by the IFRC and the Climate Centre, the directory features over 60 resources focusing on high-level strategy, governance, tools, case studies, and communications. With projections showing nearly 1,000 cities facing average summertime temperature highs of 35 ̊C by 2050, the need to address extreme heat risks is becoming increasingly urgent. This valuable resource will be regularly updated to support practitioners, researchers, policymakers, and community leaders in tackling urban heat challenges effectively.
