Levi Strauss and Marks & Spencer have launched the "Fashion Renewable Collaborative" with Schneider Electric to help fashion suppliers adopt renewable electricity at scale. The initiative aims to reduce emissions across global supply chains by providing a structured implementation model for suppliers to adopt renewable energy solutions. The fashion industry, a major polluter, emits almost 10% of the world's greenhouse gas emissions annually. Increasing the use of renewable electricity through power purchase agreements and on-site generation is seen as a key pathway to decarbonization in the fashion industry. The FRC aims to help suppliers understand the benefits of clean energy and work towards a more sustainable future.
