The Hydrogen Stream: Singapore researchers present artificial leaf for H2 production from contaminated seawater

Nanyang Technological University has developed an artificial leaf that uses solar energy to produce hydrogen from contaminated seawater while degrading toxic contaminants, with stable performance and high photocurrent density. Power to Hydrogen (P2H2) has started commercial green hydrogen production in Antwerp-Bruges, using anion exchange membrane stacks. Dongfeng Motor Group has introduced hydrogen-powered vehicles with high efficiency fuel cell stacks. The European Union's first CO2 storage site has opened in Denmark, capable of storing up to 400,000 tonnes annually. H2 Mobility is conducting trial operations at a new hydrogen refueling station in Hannover-Langenhagen Airport, testing a hydrogen truck to promote hydrogen as a clean energy solution for transportation and combat climate change, highlighting the potential of hydrogen fuel cells in decarbonizing the transportation sector for a more sustainable future.
