Eswatini and Namibia have recently launched digital portals for rooftop solar applications, with Eswatini's platform covering up to 2 MW and Namibia's up to 500 kW. These platforms aim to enhance transparency, efficiency, and access to participation in embedded generation, supporting the countries' energy transition and green economy. Both countries are among the first in Africa to have such digital platforms for small-scale solar applications, with significant amounts of operational and under-construction solar capacity being tracked by the Africa Solar Industry Association.
