CATL, the world's largest battery manufacturer, has achieved carbon neutrality in its core operations by 2025, with all 20 battery plants certified as carbon neutral. The company still needs to address emissions from its supply chain to reach full value chain carbon neutrality by 2035. CATL credits its Carbon Chain Management System for monitoring and reducing carbon emissions in its operations and plans to focus on its supply chain, including material innovation, manufacturing, logistics, and recycling, to further reduce its carbon footprint. The company aims to work with suppliers to achieve zero-carbon standards and contribute to global decarbonization efforts.
