Testing UZELA Beyond the Coral Nursery: A New Phase of Collaborative Research

Dr. Andréa Grottoli and her team from Ohio State University are collaborating with Coral Restoration Foundation to study the impact of UZELA technology on coral restoration in the Florida Keys. UZELA attracts zooplankton to enhance coral feeding, leading to improved coral health and growth. Previous research has shown promising results, with UZELA doubling survivorship of juvenile corals and quadrupling their growth. Collaboration with researchers and institutions is key for Coral Restoration Foundation to support innovative science in coral restoration, advance techniques, enhance genetic diversity, and build resilience for coral reefs globally.
