The Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians is collaborating with OATI to develop two microgrids in Northern California, featuring a 4.5 MWac solar power array and a 21 MWh battery energy storage system. Funded by the California Energy Commission and FEMA, this initiative aims to bolster energy independence, generate substantial energy cost savings, and empower the community to sell excess electricity back to the grid.

Simultaneously, the Global Solar Council has launched the AgriPV Task Force to promote agrivoltaics, which seeks to unlock nearly 33 terawatts of additional solar capacity worldwide by utilizing just 1% of agricultural land. This initiative aims to strengthen agricultural productivity and enhance climate resilience by bringing together industry leaders to advance policies and build a scalable global AgriPV market.

In a related effort, the Envisioning Resilience initiative, led by the NAP Global Network and Lensational, is empowering women in Jamaican communities through photography and policy training. This program enables participants to document climate vulnerabilities and influence policy changes, thereby shifting perceptions of women as critical agents of change in climate adaptation.
